Period: Chinese Bronze Age. Shang dynasty.(1400-1100B.C.)
Medium: Marble

The tiger head marble sculpture is found  from Royal Tomb No. 1001.  Judging from the facial features, this animal may be representations of tiger. There is a T-shape groove runs along its back, possibly for attaching it as an architectural ornament.
